Chromodile

Urban Enhancement worked closely with artists Bailer, Conrad Bizjak and Uncle Leslie J Stanley to paint this massive Chromodile for the City of Port Phillip. It was Leslie’s first time using spray paint and he took to it with ease. The medium really suited his technique. The mural depicts the Rainbow serpent and the crocodile, an animal that has not had to evolve much over millennia despite the constant changes to its environment. The city and the rainbow serpent creator are placed in the mouth of the crocodile to symbolise the destruction of its natural habitat.
